Rylie McHale began her dance training at age 11. After just one year of dance, she competed in the Youth America Grand Prix and was awarded a full scholarship to NYC to dance at Alvin Ailey for a week and the Grand Rapids Ballet School. Rylie continued her ballet training at the Rochester School of Dance and Michigan Ballet Theatre under the direction of Cornelia Sampson and Samantha Shelton. She competed again at YAGP the following year and placed top 12 in classical and 3rd in contemporary. Rylie attended Grand Rapids Ballet summer intensive on scholarship and was previously awarded scholarships to the Joffrey Ballet and Cincinnati Ballet summer intensives.
