For the past two years, GRBC has welcomed thousands of people to sold-out shows in the Peter Martin Wege Theatre during Spring Break! This program quickly became one of the most popular events for children and we are happy to announce the return of this fantastic week of fun!
SPRING BREAK FOR KIDS! features:
A 30-minute ballet for kids: The Aquatic Adventures of Johnny Starfish and the Mermaids featuring music by Brian VanderArk!
Pre-show activities, including an up-close look at costumes, creative and energetic activities and the chance to learn some of the choreography from the show!
Chance to win great prizes from local family hot-spots like Gymco, Frederik Meijer Gardens, GR Art Museum, GR Children's Museum and more!

Synopsis of The Aquatic Adventures of Johnny Starfish and the Mermaids:
Johnny is a rock star preparing for a big concert when his two dolphin friends tell him that one of the Mermaids (one of his back up dancers) is in great danger, and it will prevent the show from going on. Before Jonny can do anything about it, an Evil Villainess and her two henchmen kidnap the Mermaid!
Johnny and his manager do everything they can to find the missing Mermaid. The Dolphins, the Mayor, his secret police and Julie the newscaster are all searching the underwater world for the Mermaid. Just when the dolphins think they have found the E vil Villainess’ hiding place, she escapes with the Mermaid, leaving her two henchmen to their doom.
How is Johnny going to find his missing Mermaid? Will the show go on? Will the Evil Villainess get a piece of her own medicine? Join us during Spring Break for the exciting conclusion of The Aquatic Adventures of Johnny Starfish and the Mermaids.
