Grand Rapids Ballet: Van Allsburg designed ‘Nutcracker’ tickets go on sale today

There is something magical about “The Nutcracker,” and for many families the ballet is a part of their Christmas tradition. Last year Grand Rapids Ballet teamed up with “The Polar Express” author Chris Van Allsburg, world-renowned choreographer Val Caniparoli and award-winning set designer Eugene Lee to create a special “Nutcracker” production for West Michigan. The sold out world premiere of Grand Rapids Ballet’s new “Nutcracker” was critically acclaimed, and a West Michigan tradition was born. Tickets went on sale to the general public today for the 2015 production of “The Nutcracker.”
