Julia Turner

Julia Turner was raised in Carol Stream, IL and started her ballet training at The Academy of Dance Arts in Downers Grove, IL. In addition, she studied for three years at the Joffrey Ballet’s Academy of Dance in Chicago. Julia won third place in the junior division classical category at the Youth America Grand Prix Chicago regionals in 2010, and won first place in contemporary and second place in the classical category of the senior division in 2012. Julia spent two years on scholarship in the Professional Division at Pacific Northwest Ballet, where she performed with the company in The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Giselle. After finishing this program, Julia joined Tulsa Ballet II for one year, where she performed in original works by Ma Cong and Norbert de la Cruz III, as well as performing with the main company in The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, and The Three Musketeers.

I enjoy yoga and reading.

I am also currently putting that reading to use and working on my Bachelor’s Degree.
